Campus Support Services

  • Writing Center: Our Writing Center offers one-on-one consultations, workshops, and seminars to help you with academic writing, from proposals to dissertations.
  •  Research Assistance: Get support for your research projects with access to advanced research tools, databases, and personalized consultations with our expert librarians.
  • Professional Development Workshops: Enhance your skills and prepare for your career with Graduate School workshops covering a range of topics, from academic publishing to effective communication.  Workshops offered vary each semester.
  • Accessibility Services: We ensure all students have equal access to academic resources and support services, tailored to individual needs.
  • SIU Research Support: Learn about the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, including research support facilities, research centers, and events that showcase student research and creative activities.
  • Career Development Center: Find information about employment events, job search links, a professional clothing closet available free for students, and much more. 
  • Statistical Consulting Unit (SCU): The SCU provides statistical advice and assistance with short-term statistical analysis to students, researchers, and faculty. This includes assistance with designing experiments, studies, and surveys, as well as analyzing data related to master’s theses and doctoral dissertations. Some restrictions apply.
