When students struggle - academically, emotionally, or personally - it often shows up before they ask for help. That’s why it’s important to share your concerns early.

  • If we don’t know there’s a concern, we can’t offer support.

    These forms connect students with the right resources. It’s not about punishment - it’s about helping students stay on track and feel cared for.

Report a Concern / Make a Referral

  • SAFE Report

    Safety & Misconduct

    Use this form to report:

    • Sexual assault or harassment
    • Stalking, dating violence, threats
    • Discrimination or identity-based harm

  • Saluki Cares

    Personal & Non-Academic Concerns

    Use this form to report:

    • Mental health struggles
    • Food, housing, or financial insecurity
    • Trauma or crisis situations

  • Academic Early Alert

    Academic Struggles

    Use this form to report:

    • Misses classes or assignments
    • Has failing or low grades
    • Isn’t engaging in D2L or coursework

What Happens After You Submit a Concern?

  • You'll receive confirmation that your form was received
  • Trained SIU staff will follow up with the student
  • If the student accepts help, we'll offer guidance and support, and connect them to appropriate services
  • Student privacy is always respected. Some students may choose not to engage

We’re committed to supporting students, but we can only act when concerns are shared. When in doubt, speak up! Your outreach may be the connection a student needs to regain momentum.
