SIU Psychology Program

Undergraduate Program

SIU is rated a Higher Research Activity university. And yet we have a small school feel. That means you’ll get the kinds of advanced experiences many undergraduates at other schools won’t have. You’ll be able to research. You may use EEGs, electro-physical measuring devices, eye-tracking equipment and more as you work with faculty mentors on ongoing research or your own projects.

You'll have the opportunity to customize your curriculum and tailor your learning experience to your own educational interests through:

  • Parent Training Specialization
  • Senior Honors Program

Minor Options

Psychology Minor
Psychology is a great minor for many other majors, too. Students who pursue a psychology minor receive  the same care and attention as the psychology major students.

Neuroscience Minor
This interdisciplinary study teaches understanding of the neural foundations of behavior, with participation in ongoing research in a lab required.
