COVID/Monkepox Dashboard

Main Content

The following dashboard reflects the number of positive COVID-19 cases identified through testing available specifically for SIU students and staff. As of Sept. 13, they will include positive cases from the Student Health Center, in addition to the weekly testing provided at Grinnell Hall. The number of monkeypox cases are reported to the university by a local health department, which is also responsible for contact tracing.

A positive case does not necessarily indicate that the individual has exposed others on campus. If you suspect exposure, please consult CDC resources for COVID-19 and monkeypox.

These numbers are not all-inclusive. For example, employees and students who tested positive with at-home COVID tests are not included. Employees and students who seek medical attention off campus or in another county might not be reported to the university.

Fully Vaccinated on Campus

Students (summer):
   84% (1,176 )
Employees:
   83% (2,379)

Visit the Jackson County Health Department for information about cases in the county and what to do if you might have been exposed. Visit the Illinois Department of Public Health for information about total cases statewide and to search for cases by zip code.

Weekly numbers

Each week, SIU will post data about on-campus tests conducted by Reditus Laboratories and the results. Please note results are available 24 to 48 hours after the tests.
