8:00 AM to 12:00 AM - Morris Library Hall of Presidents Exhibit Space Sacred Geometry: R. Buckminster Fuller was a true American original whose professional career encompassed disciplines as diverse as architecture, engineering, mathematics, philosophy, and ecology. He taught us new ways of seeing the world and helped us reimagine our place in it. Through his geodesic models he envisioned the multi-node, hyper-connective civilization that we now inhabit. The sacred geometry of nature reveals itself in Buckminster Fuller’s geodesics, the sciences of biomimicry and cymatics, the geometry of fractals, the Fibonacci Sequence, Platonic solids, Metatron’s Cube, and the spiritual mysticism of mandalas, labyrinths, chakras, the Seed of Life, the Flower of Life, and the Jewish Kabbalah Tree of Life. Our sponsors will host three receptions featuring the work of more than 40 local artists and students inspired by Fuller’s boundless energy, curiosity, and faith in the ultimate connection between human beings and the natural world around us. Visit all three exhibit locations in March and April to view over 80 works of art.
